The practice nurses and healthcare assistant see patients by appointment. They see patients for dressings, vaccinations, well person health checks, weight checks, blood pressure checks, diabetic checks, asthma checks, family planning, smear tests, pregnancy tests and blood tests.

Family Planning & Smear Tests
We offer a family planning service for all women. Types of Contraception available: Oral contraceptive pill , contraceptive injection, patches, condoms, IUCD (coil) fitting. Make an appointment with your doctor or the practice nurse to discuss contraception.
For emergency contraception (morning after pill) see the practice nurse or your doctor within 72 hours. You can also obtain this over the counter from some dispensing chemists.
Cervical Cytology (smear) Tests:
It is recommended that every woman between 16 and 65 should have a smear test every three years. Make an appointment with the practice nurse for this.
Baby Clinic
Thursday 1.30 – 3.30pm
Childrens’ vaccinations from 1.30 – 2.30pm
The Health Visitor is available for weighing babies and giving advice to parents. Please do not bring sick children to Baby Clinic but make an appointment with your doctor.
Sick Children
We will always see sick children as soon as possible if they are brought to the surgery (this may be quicker than a home visit). If in doubt ring the surgery and ask for advice.
