Consultation Hours
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 11.30am & 2pm – 6pm
Telephoning the Surgery
The telephone is answered between 9am - 6pm on weekdays.
If you need to speak to a doctor the best time to ring is between 11:30am and 12:30pm on weekdays. You may be asked to ring back if he is still busy in surgery. If your call is not urgent please try to avoid ringing before 11:30am as our phone lines are very busy in the early part of the day.
Appointments
Consultations are by appointment, to book an appointment please phone the surgery or call in at reception. If you are unsure who to book with the receptionist should be able to advise whether a nurse or doctor appointment is most suitable. If you wish to book with your usual doctor you will generally be able to get an appointment within two days but during holiday times you may have to wait longer or see a different doctor.
If you need to see a doctor urgently you may come along during surgery hours, (by 10.30am for morning surgery and by 5pm for afternoon surgery), and a doctor will be able to see you, but you may have to wait until those patients with routine appointments have been seen. Please make a routine appointment if the matter is not medically urgent.
Keeping Appointments
If you are unable to keep an appointment please let us know as soon as possible. If you are late for an appointment you will be asked to make another appointment or be seen at the discretion of the doctor if necessary. The Practice has a policy for non-attendance of appointments which can result in patients being removed from the list. Please cancel in advance if you cannot attend a booked appointment. Please note the surgery is shut from 12.30pm – 4pm on the last Thursday of every month for training purposes.
